Foxy Brown
An unlikely Section 3 entry, the Pam Grier revenge picture caught up in the seizure list.
Coffy again, louder and worse written. Grier is still magnetic.
Coffy again, louder and less coherent, and still a showcase for Pam Grier at the height of her stardom. Out for revenge after her man is murdered, Foxy infiltrates a vice ring, and the film piles on incident with less control than Coffy but more sheer attitude.
Jack Hill originally conceived it as a Coffy sequel, and it shows in the recycled beats, but Grier is magnetic and the film has a rougher, angrier energy. The vigilante finale is uncompromising.
Not the best Grier vehicle, but maybe the most iconic.
