Shogun Assassin

Two Lone Wolf and Cub films chopped into one English dub. A grindhouse legend regardless.

The American cult object assembled from the first two Lone Wolf and Cub films, re-edited and dubbed into a single 80-minute bloodbath narrated by the toddler. Purists object, and they have a point, but the resulting film became a grindhouse and video legend in its own right, sampled by the Wu-Tang Clan and quoted in Kill Bill.

It is faster and pulpier than the originals, stripped of their contemplative passages and pushed toward pure action. As an entry point to the saga it is disreputable and effective.
