Ilsa, Harem Keeper of the Oil Sheiks

The second Ilsa film, in which Dyanne Thorne trades the concentration camp for a Middle Eastern oil sheikdom and runs the harem of a decadent prince with the same whip and the same total absence of restraint. Don Edmonds returned to direct, the budget went up, and the film piles on white slavery, torture gadgetry and a properly deranged bit involving a chastity device rigged to explode. It has none of the original's grim Hogan's Heroes production-history hook, and plays instead as pure cartoon cruelty aimed at drive-ins that wanted more of the same. Thorne is again the only reason it holds together, commanding every scene she stalks through. Trashier and sillier than She-Wolf, and exactly what a sequel to it was always going to be.
