The Red Queen Kills Seven Times

A family curse, a killer in a red cloak, and a legend that kills every hundred years.

A stylish giallo built on a Germanic family legend: every hundred years a Red Queen returns to kill seven victims. When bodies start appearing around two sisters who share the cursed bloodline, the film plays the supernatural and the rational against each other with real elegance.

Emilio Miraglia directs it with a strong gothic atmosphere unusual for the cycle, and Barbara Bouchet is excellent. It is one of the more mysterious gialli, with a resolution that mostly holds together.
