Tourist Trap
Mannequins that move, telekinesis, and a masked killer. Far stranger than a slasher should be.
A slasher that veers into something much weirder. Stranded travellers take shelter at a roadside museum full of mannequins run by a disturbed owner with telekinetic powers who can make the dummies move, talk and kill. The moving-mannequin sequences are nightmarish, closer to a fever dream than a body-count film.
Chuck Band produced and Pino Donaggio scored it, and its PG rating hides how unsettling it is. Stephen King praised it. One of the strangest and most atmospheric slashers of its era, and badly underseen.
