Vampyres
Two women lure travellers to a country house and drain them. British, bloody, erotic.
A British lesbian-vampire film with more atmosphere and genuine eroticism than most of the Euro-gothic cycle. Two women haunt a lonely English country estate, seducing passing men and draining their blood, in a hazy, blood-soaked reverie that blurs sex and death throughout.
Jose Ramon Larraz directs it with real style, and it is franker and more intense than the Hammer vampire films it sits alongside. It became notorious in Britain for its content. One of the better films of its very specific subgenre.
