All the Colors of the Dark

Martino and Edwige Fenech make a giallo that keeps sliding into satanic hallucination, and the line between paranoia and conspiracy is never quite drawn. A traumatised woman in Swinging London is drawn into a black-magic cult, or imagines she is, and the film is happy to leave you unsure.

Fenech is the reason to watch, and Martino shoots her nightmares with a woozy zoom-heavy style that dates the film in the best way. The Rosemary's Baby influence is on the surface, but the mood is entirely its own.

Less a mystery than a bad dream you cannot wake from.
