The Psychic

Fulci does a clockwork giallo. A woman's vision of a murder turns out to be her own future.

One of Lucio Fulci's most controlled and least gory films, a precisely engineered giallo about a woman with psychic flashes who has a vision of a murder and slowly realises she is seeing not the past but her own approaching death. The plot works like a clock, every image paying off.

It is a change of pace from Fulci's splatter, closer to Hitchcock than to Zombi 2, and it is clever about how its premonition fits together. Quentin Tarantino borrowed its score for Kill Bill.
