Terrifying Girls' High School: Lynch Law Classroom

The title is the pitch, and the film delivers on it with unusual formal care. A new student investigates the corrupt, brutal disciplinary system of a girls' school run like a police state, and the film uses the exploitation framework to stage a genuine revolt against authority.

Norifumi Suzuki directs with real style, and Miki Sugimoto makes a coolly furious lead. Under the sadism and nudity is a surprisingly pointed anti-authoritarian streak, which runs through the best of the cycle.

Nasty, stylish and angrier than it needs to be, in the best way.
