Escape from the Bronx

Castellari's sequel to The Bronx Warriors, bigger and dumber, in which a corporation tries to depopulate the Bronx by force and the gangs fight back with flamethrowers. Mark Gregory returns as the sullen, oddly-moving hero, and the property-developers-as-villains angle gives it a faint political charge under the carnage.

It doubles down on everything: more explosions, more absurd gangs, more terrible dubbing. As Italian Escape from New York knock-offs go, it is one of the more enjoyably excessive.
