Society
A teen suspects his rich family are not human. The finale proves it, wetly.
Brian Yuzna's satire in which a Beverly Hills teenager becomes convinced his wealthy family and their circle are literally not human, and spends the film being told he is paranoid until a final act that makes the class metaphor gruesomely literal. The climactic shunting sequence, designed by Screaming Mad George, is one of the most deliriously disgusting things in horror.
It is a blunt instrument as satire (the rich literally feed on the poor) and a triumph of practical effects. The last twenty minutes are unlike anything else.
