From Beyond

Stuart Gordon and Jeffrey Combs do Lovecraft again. A machine that lets you see what should stay unseen.

Stuart Gordon's follow-up to Re-Animator, reuniting Jeffrey Combs and Barbara Crampton for another Lovecraft adaptation. A resonance machine stimulates the pineal gland and lets its users perceive, and be perceived by, monstrous creatures occupying the same space we do. Perception becomes appetite becomes transformation.

It is gooier and more sexual than Re-Animator, drenched in pink and purple slime, and Combs is again perfect as a scientist coming apart. A high point of 80s practical-effects horror.

The Indonesian one everybody means: a flying witch's head, viscera trailing, hunting in the dark.
