Nico Mastorakis watched The Texas Chain Saw Massacre make a fortune, sat down, and by his own account listed every taboo he could think of so he could pack them all into one film. The result sends a clean-cut British couple to sun-blasted Mykonos, where they murder their way through anyone they decide is a pervert while working through bestiality, incest and most of the rest of the list themselves. The gap between the postcard-blue Aegean and what happens under it is the whole cold joke, and the reveal about the couple is the nastiest turn in a film with plenty of competition. Britain's DPP duly banned it, and it stayed a proper video nasty for decades. The definitive Greek exploitation film, made in cold blood to offend, and very good at it.
