Guinea Pig 2: Flower of Flesh and Blood

Barely a film, more a single grim idea executed in unbroken close-up: a man in samurai armour drugs a woman and takes her apart in real time, with no plot on either side of it. Hideshi Hino, a horror manga artist, staged the effects convincingly enough that Charlie Sheen watched a bootleg, decided he was looking at a real murder, and reported it to the FBI, who investigated before the makers produced a behind-the-scenes tape showing the tricks. That legend is now far more interesting than the tape itself, which is an endurance test dressed as entertainment and short on both. It survives as a notorious object and a fixture of gorehound folklore rather than as time anyone would choose to spend. Historically important, artistically a butcher's window.
