Thirst
A secret society farms humans for blood. Ozploitation does vampires as corporate agribusiness.
An unusual Australian vampire film in which a woman is kidnapped by a modern secret society, the Brotherhood, who believe themselves descended from Elizabeth Bathory and run an industrial operation farming humans for blood, complete with a dairy-style facility. The idea of vampirism as corporate agribusiness is clever.
Rod Hardy directs it with a cool, clinical style, and the brainwashing sequences are effective. It is a smarter, stranger take on the vampire film than its Ozploitation packaging suggests, and one of the more conceptually interesting entries in the Australian cycle.
